Our Founder and CEO's Welcome

Welcome, teachers! I am excited to work with you and support you in any way we can. Our mission at BlackFem, Inc. is rooted in education. Low-income communities of color lack access to wealth and financial literacy curriculum that simultaneously addresses the concept of sustainable wealth-building as well as the complex, and often harsh experiences of being a minority with fewer options to access opportunities. BlackFem, Inc. is uniquely poised to empower these communities with systemic information deficiencies by generating original wealth and financial literacy curriculum and customizing it for each school that partners with us.

Equally, teachers cannot just be thrown another thing to execute in the classroom, so that is why we have created this program and service. Simply, we cannot achieve our shared mission without you, and so my team and I are committed to supporting, educating, and training you to be better financial educators.

About Our Curriculum

Financial Literacy

Financial literacy is the understanding of how money and finance works.

Wealth Literacy

If financial literacy is the ‘what you need to know to be more financially successful than you otherwise could have been’, then wealth literacy is the ‘how you can put your knowledge to use to increase your net worth.’

Social Justice

We predominately serve students in low-income communities of color, and therefore, we infuse the experience of being a minority into our curriculum to empower them to make a change in their community.

Common Core Alignment

Each lesson we generate will align with a math, social studies, and ELA common core themes.
